My mom was in Golden Age Nursing Facility. Her experience was very good. They provided the level of skilled nursing care that she needed. She was there for rehab, so they did a great job with her in getting her strength back so she could walk on her own. The staffing level was good. I just felt like she was well taken care of. My mother-in-law has been at Golden Age. I observed the staff was helpful, very quick to respond to her, and she just thought they were wonderful. She used to work in a nursing home for many years and she did bookkeeping, and somehow they let her think she was helping them with the bookkeeping. I visited Golden Age Nursing Home. When I walked in, I liked the feel and the appearance. It just had a homier atmosphere to it. The staff that I met with is very helpful and very informative. I don’t know that any nursing home is affordable; it's not out of line with anything else. I'm not really sure, but I think they have a gym and a swimming pool.
