CriticalNot what we paid for sums it up.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating. However, some of the promised amenities were walked back shortly after we moved my parents in, including trash pick-up and bi-weekly assistance with cleaning. They do have seasonal events and activities for the residents, and the halls/cafeteria are kept clean, but again, the promised assistance with keeping their unit clean never happened.

This is a good place for people who are budget-conscious. There are other facilities that offer more amenities, but they also come with a much higher price, so that's to be expected. My mom lives in the independent living section, and she's been happy there. She receives a little help when needed, someone cleans her apartment once a week, and maintenance issues are taken care of. One area that could be improved is the maintenance request process—you have to write requests in a log yourself. It would be much more c…

What we like the most about Gordan Oaks is that It is truly a community everyone there cares about each other, the staff all of the residents, the kitchen staff everyone's wonderful.
