PositiveMy dad moved into Grand Blanc Fields. It was clean. The staff was caring. He was able to have his own room. This was a place that was closer to the house, so it would make visiting easier. They have a small outdoor space. They have a courtyard.

PositiveWe chose Grand Blanc Fields for my grandmother. It was very small when it came to residential communities. There are only 20 people. It was very clean as well as home-like. The staff was pleasant. They're extremely flexible and very neat. They have individual rooms, they have their own private bathrooms, they have a day room for visitation, and they have a large dining room for all the residents to dine at. PositiveThe facility itself is beautiful and well maintained. I do really like the staff that have been here since we moved in, but there has been quite a bit of turnover. There are some services that I have some concerns with though as far as the care. The doors are locked and it is a safe facility, but it is very hard for family members to get in. PositiveIf you are planning on visiting your loved one frequently, by all means. They are struggling to have staff, like other places. The staff that work here, are all wonderful, caring, and kind to the residents. It seems that some staff are working double shifts, and the owner will even come in to help cover shifts. My loved one had a very nice room for a good price.

PositiveFor what is paid it is not bad at all. It is not small but its not large but it is just right for what I feel assisted living should be. They do not have activities at this time right now due to covid.

PositiveI like all of the staff there. I did not like the dining however, they are getting a new cook to make the dining better for the residents. They really didn't have any activities but on Tuesdays and there are a lot that could not participate. They do the best they can for the residents that are there. I wish there were a few more people for my loved one to converse with more and make connections.
