CriticalStay away! very sadly our experience at Grand Cove was less than one star. -Two medications put “on hold” without notifying family. -Wait times constantly in excess of 30+ mins. -Several falls while on the watch of the aid. -No wound care on weekends. -Food is literally not editable with zero other choices allowing for poor nutrition. -Wheelchair provided had rust and cob web, replacement wheel chair fell apart literally with patient in it. -Patient went 7 days with no shower due to staffing issue. -Doctor over fac…

CriticalI visitedThis past weekend was my first time visiting my family member at this facility. The outside of the facility looked well maintained while the inside was not clean, the rooms were dark and depressing and not well maintained at all. The floors were dirty and carpets disgusting. The staff appeared to be friendly but not very attentive. My family member has developed bedsores. Bedsores are 100% preventable but when you fail to provide essential care, such as turning every 2 hrs. this is the outcome. Since being…

PositiveI went to Grand Cove Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. It was a nice community. I didn't taste any of the food there, but they toured me around the facilities. Very easy. It was all contained in one building. Very logical. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. It was kind of one of those once they got the information on Dad they realized that he was going to need a bit higher level of skilled nursing than what they offered.

CriticalFrom the outside, Grand Cove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center looks OK. The facility is pretty nice. When you go into the main entrance, everything is updated and nice, and the people are friendly. But once you start touring the facility, the semi-private rooms are not great. The rooms that they had available were in an area that needs to be updated. It didn't have central air conditioning on the wall, and water is leaking from one of them where the floor was wet. It looked like it wasn't kept up really …

PositiveThe staff were always nice to me whenever I came to visit my grandmother, and she constantly still tells me some stories of the nice things they did for her. The only time I heard her complain about Grand Cove was when the cooks were not doing their jobs correctly and would burn the food that they served to the residents. She got up and complained about it and they fixed the problem. Other than that, Grand Cove was a great place for her.

PositiveIn this facility, there are numerous activities and accommodations for all of the residents. Rooms, including bathrooms and entire area is always clean. The staff are very friendly. They have meetings with family members to update any info and ask concerns. The outside of the unit is well kept and inviting. They are overall a very caring facility and I am well satified with their approach to take care of my love one.
