The most recent facility that my mom was in is Grossmont Acute Care Center. She was there last year too, and I was very impressed with it last year. The staff was very professional, and she liked it. She was in a room with three other ladies, and she didn’t feel so lonely. They had a big window with lots of light coming in, which is what she liked. She does not like being in a dark room where it is depressing. The second time she wasn’t happy, but she has anxiety issues, so I have a feeling her anxiety was playing …

I enjoyed my stay at Grossmont because they gave more attention. I thought the food and staff were really great. They were friendly and concerned. They gave good attention to you like when they gave you a shower, they said: "You got to be careful" and they watched so you wouldn't fall. I told them that I was okay when I was by myself, but they were still concerned. There were two people in a room like me and another lady and each of us had our own flat TV and it was up on the wall.
