PositiveEverything is not milk and honey here, butI feel like I have a choice. I never thought I would end up in a place like this. I choose to be happy, and I concentrate on the things that make me happy. The people here are thoughtful and caring. The socialization is great.
★★★★★
PositiveThe most positive aspect of Hammond Glen is the wonderful social life & people--both the other residents who are most welcoming & the staff from Executive Director [name removed] to Community Development [name removed]to Activities organizer [name removed]. Also the dining room servers are really caring & the food is pretty good. Too much of it, but many alternate choices are always available. From the first day I was able to attend Catholic scripture study in-house, chorus & poetry events--all ongoing & fun.

Positive4 star overall rating. Due to grounds are under construction for beautification. Other than the construction, 5 stars would be for all other areas; staffing, food, apartment size, activities, amenities friendly and caring community amongst the residents and staff.

PositiveI toured this facility with [name removed] and then my mom had her tour. We were both very impressed with the friendliness of both staff and residents. They have so many activities to keep my mom busy every day. She will be moving in next week and my brother's and I look forward to her meeting new friends and being very happy in her new apartment.

PositiveHammond Glen is a beautiful community with very attractive apartments & a full calendar of in-house events from movies to concerts & Executive Chef prepared meals. Even wine Hastings & a soda fountain with jukebox. I am excited about making it may new home!

The service staff were good people who tried hard, but had zero knowledge of serving etiquette. And no one on staff to teach or train. The executive chef is arrogant and unskilled. You can't know what good looks like if you've never seen it yourself. The weekly housekeeping is a lick-and-a-promise—several years without a supervisor. You ca…
