Best place for dad

As of today, I find this facility to be a good fit for my father. The staff is kind and efficient. The director and head nurse are amazing thus far. The facility resembles a home environment instead of an institution. We are at ease knowing that our father is in a safe and caring environment.

Staff is nice but don't speak english. Care isn't much. No activities unless you sit on a pee soaked sofa and watch tv. Food is horrible. Biting bugs in the room. Bugs leaving sand in the bathroom behind the toilet. Running water in the bathroom sink that can't turn off. The size of the room is adequate.

My husband and I visited. The director, [name removed] and nurse [name removed] are wonderfully pleasant people. Made my husband feel right at home, calming any anxiety he had. They’re amazing how they deal with the residents with memory issues including my husband. They’re so patient and know exactly what to say and do. The facility is well kept, clean and secure.

[name removed] and the nurse were so welcoming and accommodating. I walked in with no appointment and they went above and beyond to let me look around and ask questions. The facility was clean, bright and inviting. If you are looking for memory care for a loved one it’s worth checking out.

Be Cautious

Medical attention is very good, cottages where family members reside is not very clean and understaffed on the weekends. Outside patio furniture cushions are very dirty, need to be thrown out and replaced with new cushions. Outside ceiling fans are very old and need to be replaced. One fan shakes back and forth and could eventually fall from ceiling. Meals seem to be adequate.

We do not recommend.

Ownership changed 3 times in 4 months. They tried to raise rent in the middle of lease. They left my father with a open cyst on his back no cure. There was a dead. Cockroach 2 weeks in a row in the main bathroom in the same spot. Very little if any cleaning. Food was ok, staff was ok. They were also supposed to take him to doctors appointments within. 10 miles of the facility and failed to do that as well.
