We visited the Heritage House, Atlantic, and it was very nice. We toured their assisted living facility, and it was very positive. We're small-town people, so we like the fact that Atlantic is also a small town. It has a lot of appeal to us. We really like their fitness center, too. They offer yoga and workout classes and things like that. Whatever you do for fitness, it's available there. If you ride a stationary bike, an elliptical machine, or lift weights, they have it. I liked Heritage House, Atlantic. It was seven floors and each floor was laid out differently. The choices of the rooms would be based on which floor you were on, because each floor had different layouts. They had studios, one-bedrooms, and larger one-bedrooms. They have an exercise room with all the machines, a jetted hot tub, a community room that family and residents can use, and a salon set up. Heritage House was very inviting. It was very clean and very uplifting. They're very nice people. It was a very positive experience. We visited them for my parents. The staff was very helpful, very friendly, very patient, and very eager to answer questions. They had an available activity room for families to gather, which was very nice. They had an open cafe where people can gather as well, which made it all look like a very inviting home environment. They offer meals, too.

Heritage House has been very responsive to my mother's needs. The facility is very nice, as are the other residents and staff. We appreciate the care that my mom is receiving, but she has been there before for a short period of time for rehabilitation therapy, and had a very good experience too, so there was no hesitation in returning because of that positive experience she had. This past weekend one of my friends came to me and asked for my help in getting his Grandmother to move to a retirement facility. I have known his Grandmother for years as he went to college in this area and he is originally from Minnesota, so he stayed with her most of the time.
