The room size was more than adequate. Furnishings were acceptable but definitely on the older side. No hangers in closets. No personal hygiene products included. Meals and dining area adequate. Most staff were kind and friendly, especially [name removed] the recruiter and [name removed], the DON. One nursing aide was curt and unkind during showers according to my husband. Overall, there were many positive aspects to the experience. However, it may be helpful for families to ask detailed questions about how the community supports residents with changing needs, particularly related to dementia, as approaches can vary. I'd recommend a more robust schedule of check ins on respite patients.

My father was a resident

My father was a resident since the end of [date removed], unfortunately he passed away 5 days before Christmas, he loved Heritage Woods and the people who work there, these people are amazing, very friendly and happy to help when you need it, i highly recommend this location if you have a parent that is in need of assisted living, very affordable, veteran discounts, trust me, you wont go wrong !!

Very Good Respite Experience

The application and registration process was easy enough. The food is adequate. The apartments both times were more than adequate and very clean. The last one was a studio and even that was plenty spacious for respite. Care was very good. Everything I asked was done. My husband did not use activities but there were several available.

Couldn't be happier with my parents decision to move to Heritage Woods. They have been residents there for over 5yrs. I enjoy visiting them, you can feel the homey atmosphere as you arrive. To the patio, with the residents enjoying the sun, friendly conversations to the interior decor, the friendly staff and their cozy, clean apartment. Amazing staff

The staff is great. They take great care of the residents and some of them go above and beyond. The facility is a little run down in places but nothing excessive. It's just that the building has been there for quite a while. I love how they keep my mom out of her room most of the day and have her engaging with other residents. Important for mental health. They also keep a close eye on her. Overall it was a great decision to move her there.
