PositiveMy mother-in-law was at Hickory House Nursing Home, and she did that place twice. It was good, good nurses and good help aides. The rehab people were really good, too. My mother-in-law wasn't thrilled about the food, but I don't think she'd be thrilled about the food anywhere. When she had a problem with a roommate who was very loud, noisy, and difficult, she told them that it was an issue and they moved her to another room, and she was very happy about that. They were good listeners. They also provi…

PositiveMy mom moved into Hickory House Nursing Home. She's been there for a few days now. The staff is very helpful and considerate. The place is very nice. I got one picture of my mom outside their beautiful garden. It's all on one floor. The dining room that I saw looked like a restaurant.
★★★★★
CriticalMy husband is in the ER because of a horrible UTI that was completely avoidable. And they had the audacity to lie to my face about the results as the lab tests clearly showed a "too-high to count"white blood cell count. Rehab Good - NURSING CARE - BEWARE!
★★★★★
PositiveMy husband is at Hickory House Nursing Home. They are a very caring facility, and they are in constant contact with the family. They answer all questions, no matter how sound they may seem to us, as opposed to what is really good medically. They keep us updated all the time; we get a conference call once a week, and we get called almost every single day. They are phenomenal and are just great people. It is a cleanly kept facility, and it is wonderful. My husband has not gotten anything but the best of care. He is o…

PositiveMy dad was in Hickory House for a month. They did a good job with the rehab. My dad was there for the physical therapy and that worked out well for him. He was making good progress. The staff was good. The dining area was good and their food was a little better than the other place. The cost was covered under my health insurance, so that was very good. It was 100% covered, and we were very happy with that.

CriticalHickory House was fine. Both of my parents were there for a short period of time. Mom was in there for rehab after a cardiac arrest and she liked it, but Dad didn't. I liked the location, and it seemed to be clean and pleasant without any smells. They had a bird cage. My parents liked the food.
