Needs Some Improvement

My mother lived at Highland Cove for six years, first in independent living and later in assisted living. The community’s strongest features are its attractive grounds, pleasant outdoor spaces, and convenient central location in Millcreek. Unfortunately, our experience with the administrative and operational side was inconsistent. Response times for non-urgent maintenance were often very slow. I visited this facility

Highland Cove had excellent dining facilities, a good environment, nice rooms, and plenty of room to walk around outside. They have a little gym and a library. The upkeep was excellent. I didn't meet many staff, but the ones I met were very, very nice and willing to help. The food was excellent.

I would highly recommend Highland Cove for assisted living they were fantastic. Staff are very caring and helpful and I enjoyed working with them. The food is really good with lots of choices available.

Critical

Use to be a Great Place

My mom has lived here for a few years and things have seemed to deteriorate. Quality of service has gone down dramatically. The office won't return my calls. Used to be great but I've found a better value down the road.

Things to know

They need to not offer transportation options. Many people don't drive and to offer transportation options to Dr appointments and such don't work for them. If it doesn't fit within there parameters they won't take you anywhere.

Highly recommended

This is the best place for your loved ones. There is a wide variety of things to do and lots of friendly residents and staff. Apartment sizes are great! They have one and two bedrooms available. My sister is in a two bedroom with a washer and dryer. I think that all of the apartments have washers and dryers in the units.
