PositiveI have chosen Homewood at Martinsburg because it was the one that I felt most comfortable with. My wife has moved in. I was very impressed with it. Everything was very nice and very well kept. The staff is very good, very caring, and very alert. I'm very happy with them. They have a variety of activities posted for them weekly. Plus, with her being in memory care, they're always there with them, and somebody is there if they need something. The food is very good. They get three meals a day. If needed, the…

PositiveWe decided to keep my mom at Homewood at Martinsburg. It is a top-notch facility. Everything is new and well-kept. The staff is very friendly and they tend to all my mother's needs. It is a beautiful community. I can't imagine anything else that would be needed for their residents, because I think they tend to all their needs. There are elevators and there's a cafeteria. I know they deliver meals to your room if you're not feeling like going up to the cafeteria for lunch, dinner, or breakfast. I…

PositiveI went to Homewood at Martinsburg. I like that whatever condition mom is in, they can take care of it. They can go from independent living to hospice. It's very nice, very clean, and upbeat. My mom really liked it. The staff was very good, informative, friendly, helpful, and knew all the answers. They had a nice dining room. We didn't have any food, but we've seen menus; they cover all the bases. One thing they have that's really nice is every room has either a balcony or a patio. They can walk …

PositiveI have been in Homewood for 10 years now. I grew up in this general area, which is a dairy farming, very peaceful, and nice setting. It is a wonderful place to spend the last part of your life. We have a very caring staff who puts the residents’ needs as a priority. We are in a cottage with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a nice living room. A lot of the residents as they grow older do employ outside house cleaning and various services but more than 50 percent of the cottage residents do their own house…

PositiveHomewood at Martinsburg is excellent and their activities are amazing. The director of the activities is very engaging. I feel like my aunt has adapted very well. When my aunt cannot lock the door, I called the nurses and they are there immediately. My aunt has a small room but the other rooms are larger. It’s very clean too.

PositiveMy dad was at Homewood for rehab two years ago. The staff was fine, and the food was very good. It was more expensive, so everything was pretty fancy.
