I visited this facility

We went to Homewood at Plum Creek. They have the villas, they have the cottages, and then they have the apartments and the care in the big building. It's beautiful. It's very nice. It is in a farm setting. It's very pretty. However, it was a distance for us. Also, they didn't have any available end units, which is what we would have taken if available. The people were very nice. They explained everything and showed you all the stuff you could have with your place. They had a pool, an exercise ro…

On the memory care unit, you r loved one will be fine as long as they sit quietly in a chair or recliner or lay in their bed all day. They want the residents compliant. If, on the other hand, your loved one is active and likes to interact and visit other residents, it will be frowned upon. Also, the staff does not seem able to follow a simple request to have your loved one's meds crushed and taken in applesauce or pudding. This is a nursing home unit, at best.

My father is in Homewood at Plum Creek nursing home. He needed to have full-term care, so he had to go into a home that has several levels of care. It is a community that has cottages for independent living, they have assisted living for people that just need meals but they live independently within the building, and they have assisted living and memory care levels. There is accommodation for all levels of care if you will. Concerning to the personal care he's received since he's come into the community, …

I am a retired clinical psychologist and pastor. In those roles I visited dozens of care facilities. My wife was a resident at Homewood for three years. The care she received was superior to any other care home I know of.

Homewood at Plum Creek is a good, but expensive facility. My mother-in-law's apartment is adorable, and it's perfect for her. The staff is good. The food is good, they provide good choices, and there are reasonable prices. They have crafts, bingo, and musicals. It's all around good. I have nothing bad to say about any of it. The activities are good. She's been there a long time.

I visited this facility

Homewood At Plum Creek was like walking into a resort, but we could not afford it. It was like a country club. They had beds available right away, but we'd have to win the lottery to be able to consider it. Anybody that can afford it, that should be number one on their list. You can live there until you get older or your health goes down until you need to be in the nursing home part of it. It was just phenomenal. The services were off the charts. The dining area was like a restaurant. They have everything you …
