PositivePerfect fit for mom
Mom is in a one bedroom apt. With an outdoor patio of her own. Just perfect for one and a brief visitor overnight with a pullout small couch. Small galley kitchen but other than a coffee pot and a toaster and a good size refrigerator you need for nothing else. The bedroom is good size for a queen bed and two dressers and night stands. The bathroom is spacious with a low lip walk-in shower. I have never seen a studio but in drawings and would not suggest it to anyone. The activities are constant and fun. They have m…

My apartment is a very nice, roomy 2 bedroom. Cleaning staff is great, actually everyone is very nice & helpful. Do have a problem with kitchen. Staff is not reliable & food wasn't very good for a few weeks but a new chef has been hired & things are looking up. I give Independence Village a 4 out of 5.

Independence Village has been wonderful in working with us. Bro-in-law signed contract on 5/5 to move in later in the month. He fell and broke his leg on [date removed]. The trauma left him delirious. They have kept in contact with us and are still allowing him to live there since his recovery is almost complete. The people are nice and helpful and welcoming and AVAILABLE! Food is good and balanced. Transportation is available. The residents I've met really like it there.

The rooms are updated and have good layouts. There was plenty of common area spaces. The menu looked like there was a good variety and there was a salad bar available. The food is included, which was fantastic. The grounds looked well maintained and there was a live guitar/singer performing during our visit in the atrium area. The tour guide was upbeat, very accommodating and the residents seemed well cared for and HAPPY! Definitely my top pick so far! Hopefully my dad can move in soon!
