I went to Kannapolis Family Care Home. At that time, they had no vacancies. It was something that I was considering for my friend, as she needed more of a skilled care facility. A lot of the patients there require quite a bit of care, and even though my friend does pretty well on her own, she needs assistance with medications and stuff. It was fine. The person who showed me around was a medication nurse. They were very helpful. My friend was looking for a room that she could have by herself, but at that time, they …

There are truly no words to describe this amazing 6 resident care home. Our mother was there only a brief time of 3 weeks and we wouldn't have wanted her anywhere else during the last weeks of her life. The staff here and VIA (Hospice) provided excellent care to our mother and our family. The staff are loving, compassionate and dedicated to caring for Seniors. My brother is at Kannapolis Family Care Home. I like that he has other people there to talk to, and I like that there are two people there all the time. He gets his medicine on time. He needs everything done for him, so they do everything for him. They seem to be very knowledgeable about their job, very caring, and very attentive. I don't have anything bad to say about the staff. I have not tasted the food, but I have seen my brother eat, and the food looks good. It's a lot better than where he was before…

Our Experience

My loved one was briefly a resident at Kannapolis Family Care Home and the facility was great. The overall experience was very good and we really liked the place. However, shortly after moving in our loved one's care needs changed and he passed a few weeks after being changed to Hospice Care. I will say, though, that these types of places are very expensive.

Kannapolis Family Care Home is a house, and then they have many rooms for the patients. They seemed very nice over there. The rooms were a little small. They had six people, but the girls that were there were really nice. I'm a little more open to that type of a concept if my mom has to go into a facility where she needs to be helped more.
