The Keystone Villa at Ephrata is a comfortable place to live. They took good care of me when my wife died. I am currently in their independent living, and the rooms are comfortable. Mine is a 1-bedroom apartment, and it has just the basic things, but it gets cleaned once a week. I was just playing bingo this afternoon, and yesterday, we played games with teenagers from a local religious school. Every Tuesday evening, we also have live music, and tomorrow night's music will be Larry's German Band. We have …

I'm in Keystone Villa at Ephrata. The people that serve me food are very nice. The food is A1. I have a good working relationship with the person that cleans my apartment. I have lots of friends here that I enjoy. Before I came here, I was in a very bad situation. My wife passed away and I was alone. Since I've been here, I got out of my phone and came back to my old self. So, I owe Keystone a lot. They have a pool table and a shuffleboard table. I go upstairs and shoot pool with some people. I was shown two studios that were already being used at Keystone Villa at Ephrata, so it was hard to see my stuff in there, but the common area was beautiful. It was more inviting to me. I would have been in that same facility if it weren't like I was in a different building away from memory care and stuff like that. They were all in that one building. The salesperson was quite friendly.

This place deserves a zero rating. It's probably fine for residents who can "fend for themselves." But for people with dementia who can't speak or stand up for themselves, it is substandard care. Keystone Villa has no business accepting those kinds of residents.

Home away from home

My mother has gone through a lot of changes in the last few years. She started at Keystone with my father after covid because they were too sick to take care of each other and keep track of their meds. My father loved the activities. He especially enjoyed lifting weights in their exercise room, doing puzzles with other residents and playing bingo. When they recovered and were able to move to independent living, Keystone Villa helped make the move. Then my father developed cancer and we needed extra help which the…

Very happy here

We are very happy with our choice. My mom is well taken care of. That is most important. Everyone is very nice to work with. Her apartment is very nice with large windows. The whole place is very clean.
