Facility feels like a small community. The staff interacts with the residents and tries to meet the needs of the residents. The food is nice and I think the best part about being here is that you can tell that management and staff try and care for the resident. That is the most important thing for me as I want to go to a facility that truly cares for their residents and wants the best for them. I have experienced many different nursing homes during my adult life. As far as I am concerned Cedarwood has got to be the worst example of what they call a nursing home. They are completely unorganized, and under staffed. They can't keep any good staff members due to to complete disarray of the management and the inefficiency of other staff. The place is dirty, and unsanitary. The smell is pretty bad as well. The food consists of primarily frozen product, warmed up and served cold a good share of the time. Th…

As soon as he got at Cedarwood Health Care, they lost him, and they haven’t taken a picture of him yet. I got a call in the middle of the night that they couldn’t find him, and I don’t live in Colorado Springs. I called them, and they said some neighbors have found him. I got many calls that he had fallen in the night, and one time required hospitalization. This assisted living facility has a wonderful and caring staff. They always make sure that the patients and visitors feel comfortable and welcome. The facility was well organized and clean. The food is excellent. There was always someone asking the patient if he needed anything and asked me if I needed anything.
