PositiveI visited this facility
I went to The Lakes at Jefferson. It's a very nice facility. They acknowledged that I was there and everything, and so I would say they were good. The room size was good, too. It was a very clean place.

PositiveI visited The Lakes at Jefferson. I went there for independent living. It was expensive, but if I had a lot more money, I would probably take that place because it's beautiful. There's a back patio that has flowers and a pond. I think there are a couple of ponds there or something. However, I noticed that the studio apartments are a lot smaller. PositiveThe Lakes at Jefferson was very large. It had nice amenities. The rooms were nice and spacious and they had beautiful views. The staff was very caring and polite. I didn't taste any food, but I saw the kitchen, and it was nice and clean. I saw the dessert for the day, and it looked very good. It was farther away for family to visit and it was almost too large for my parents. It would be probably better for somebody in a wheelchair to get around, but the people who were independently walking were fine. The staf…

CriticalBuyer beware. PT/OT are excellent. But, facility changed its scope to fill 2nd floor with memory care & clients who require prodigious amounts of personal care. Staffing has NOT increased for needs, yet Lakes assures meets PA requirement. All 2nd floor who are capable are getting short shrift & largely must take care of themselves. Baths 2x/week don't occur anymore due to staff is constantly tied up with more dependent residents. Food is lousy, nutrition poor. Weird assigned seating for meals. Scheduled menu items …

PositiveMy mom was a resident at The Lakes at Jefferson for a short time before she passed away. I think that the place was beautiful, but the management was very slow to respond to anything. I also don't think that my mom got the assistance that she needed for her age. I feel that the staff needs to be more hands on with the residents. For example: my mom needed help to get to the bathroom. After they got her there they would leave and wait outside her room with the door closed. I feel that someone should have been there …
