PositiveI walked into Lakewood Place, I saw the place and I walked out. I saw their common room, and I just glanced into their dining area because I was running late and still had to get to another place. From what I observed, it was very clean, and the people that I met were friendly. The staff that guided me were very nice and very informative.

CriticalMy friend was at Lakewood Place. From his perspective, it was not very professionally run. It seemed to be run more by nurses rather than actual administrators. They had very little tolerance for things that normally are associated with people who have dementia and other things. With regards to activities, my friend liked to hang out with people, so it wasn't necessarily activities. He had good relationships with the other residents there. PositiveI liked everything at Lakewood Place. The apartment was very, very nice and there was plenty of space for seniors. The staff who assisted me with the tour was wonderful and very caring. The facility's cleanliness was immaculate. They had senior rooms where they all gathered and laughed and talked. They had a nice dining room. The residents all looked very happy. The staff was friendly, informative, helpful, and smiling.

PositiveMy overall experience at Lakewood Place was wonderful. It was nice. The director that took us on the tour was really knowledgeable and nice. It was very nice and very clean, and everybody was very friendly. The units were wonderful. I loved it. They have all kinds of activities. They have a little cinema place where they go get popcorn, and they have ice cream little thing. It was cool.

CriticalThis is a safe and clean community for your loved one. However, this community does lack activities and my loved one is really bored. The staff are pretty good at this community, they mean well but I think right now they are understaffed. They have good intentions but just like everywhere else they are currently understaffed so it shows in the service.
