If I could give this place 0 stars I would, my mom is currently living here from a severe car wreck, they treat her like she is incompetent! They won't let her leave the building to go on walks, the place smells like pee, the rooms aren't sweepd nor mopped, the food here is stale and old, the staff is nasty and disrespectful to the patients, and to me. They call you stupid if you have a genuine question about the care your loved one is getting, and my mom complains of having sores on her bottom, back, nec…

I toured Laurel Health and Rehabilitation Center, and I liked the cleanliness, lighting, and atmosphere of the place. The staff members were also welcoming, but they were going through a transition, so they were sometimes hard to reach. Even just from the exterior, the facility was well cared for. The presentation that they want is that if they care for the exterior, they're going to care for the people inside. The residents that I saw were engaged. When you walk in you hear laughter and staff/ residents interactions not the regular nursing home feeling. Clean scent and home like environment. This is the place I picked for my father, to his last moments he was treated with dignity and as family to the staff. When picking a place for your loved one visit and visit often different times. This facility doesn't matter what time you come in the same greeted smiles and warm welcome from staff and residents!

The rooms are very dirty and unsanitary. They keep the place sweltering hot also. Meals have consistently been served late or not at all. The staff here do not care about anything. Very unsafe if you’re planning to place a family member here. This makes sense because according to DPHHS complaints and violations in 2022, this nursing home has paid over $200k in fines for unsafe conditions.

The dinning room chairs were pee stained, my relative went 17 days no bath. Administration is spineless when patients needs to be stood up for. When obvious strife in family situation, the patients needs do not come first. Very sad
