PositiveI am a resident of Laurels of West Carrollton memory care unit, I feel that anyone would be happy to be a resident here, the rooms are big enough for me to feel at home, the food is good and the staff is wonderful. Vicki is personable, kind and always going above and beyond making sure that I am taken care of. Taylor is very sweet and gentle. Tasha is kind and makes sure my medical needs are all taken care of. There are many more great nurses and aides I just can't recall all the names.

PositiveI love this place. I was here for 3+ months and got to know everyone pretty well. The staff tries their best. I know there are staffing issues and all but everyone I had was patient and kind. Even when I could hear them being yelled at by another resident. They kept their cools and just soldiered on. I was treated like a human. I was NEVER made to feel embarrassed or like I was a burden. Often times, the nurses and aids were the only people I had to talk to the entire day. And they always would spend the time talki…

CriticalThe place is infested with nets and flies. The residents have nets all in the rooms and on their food. My mom was constantly fanning nets away. Housekeeping never cleans the rooms, only the hallways. The bathrooms in the top stink so bad. The place needs to be shut down for a bombing and a deep clean and maybe run some bleach through the pipes.

PositiveMy mother is staying right now for respite at The Laurels of West Carrollton. I think it's going to work out really well. Everybody has been exceptionally helpful and kind. The nurse that's with her, when I was there this afternoon, was wonderful. She said that the nurse that's going to be with Mom tonight is a very nice lady, and that if she had family there she'd want her to watch over them. So far, everything seems to be wonderful. My mom has dementia, and she kind of comes from being sweet a…

CriticalI guess it depends on who you are in order for you to receive good care. I've had to call the ombudsman office twice to meet with staff about the care of my mother. She has gone weeks without baths and we have cleaned debris out of her ears and under her neck! When we go to visit we often find her phone under her bed on the floor off the hook or even in the chair out of reach. They keep taking her Alexa out of her room. Which purchase was suggested by the ombudsman agent that was sent to investigate our claims!…
