CriticalMy mother was in Life Care Center of Wichita. They were understaffed and my mother wasn't being cared for. They didn't check on the patients enough. Sometimes the patients would be yelling and they just didn't pay attention. Her room was pretty small. She had a roommate. They were pretty small for two people. A lot of times we went in there and the room was dirty. There was stuff thrown everywhere. She was in long-term care. The appearance of the food was nice, but it wasn't seasoned. She didn&a…

CriticalAll I can say is NO please don't send anyone here I've yet to get a complete meal, each one has been missing more than one item. Most of the time even if requested they aren't delivered. Day 2: AGAIN called a liar when I questioned my medication. Was told I was given medication this AM that I never received. Then was told I refused medication that was never given. I told the nurse to stop talking down to me because I know what did and did not happen. Pure attitude, had to have a shouting match at 10:…

PositiveMy friend moved into Life Care Center of Wichita. It has been about 6 weeks and I like it. The staff seemed to be very friendly, and doing their jobs. It's clean, and I know they're short staffed and busy. I had Thanksgiving dinner with them and it was good.

CriticalThis center could be great if the staff were more caring towards the residents. I noticed that the residents do not get oral care before breakfast. This is saying mouth care is not important.

CriticalI saw nothing at Life Care Center that would adore me, but people from my church say they were well cared for and they were happy. It’s was very much better than I had really expected because Life Care doesn’t have the best reputation in some places. I was surprised as it was clean and well-cared for as far as I could see. Everybody was always well-dressed, clean, and alert. They have bingo and church, and they also had a tiny little garden. The activity people seemed to be engaged and producing things for them to …

PositiveWhen my husband was in the hospital, for some reason, he stopped walking. So he was sent to Life Care Center for rehabilitation. The people there are all great. The food is okay, he liked it. Their activities include bingo, movies, and they have people come into the facility to play the piano and guitar. They're all very caring people.
