PositiveMy mother was at Marsh's Edge starting with Assisted Living in a lateral move from another state in 2019. Marsh's Edge was far superior to her previous Assisted Living experience. Eventually mom transitioned to Skilled Nursing. In both areas, there were lots of diverse activities that residents could take part in. There really is something for anyone's interests and hobbies. What impressed myself and other family members was not only the professional, skilled staff. But also the low turnover among em…

PositiveOur Mother is very well cared for in the Skilled Nursing Area. We appreciate the loving care she is getting there. We have seen other nursing homes and they are not as nice as Marsh's Edge. Our Mother is very attached to many of the employees and they treat her with kindness, respect and dignity. She is always clean and they keep her room clean. She has been very happy at Marsh's Edge for several years now and it is a wonderful home! She really enjoys the food there, also! Thank you Marsh's Edge!

CriticalI am a relative of a resident in the Memory Care unit. The care has been very disappointing. We are thinking of leaving. The food in memory is usually not good. The unit is usually understaffed. The Executive Director, Roger P., just doesn't seem to know what is going on in memory. Unfortunately, Marsh's Edge is a for profit facility and the ownership just doesn't seem to care about anything but money.

CriticalThere is a great difference between the quality of care and food at the assisted living section versus independent living. Although this is a beautiful setting and the staff is wonderful, the housekeeping and food is horrible. My parents have lived there for 18 months. During that time there have been numerous complaints and meetings with the administration regarding the quality of food and housekeeping. This is not an isolated instance but a shared feeling amongst many of the residents. We are writing this review …

PositiveThe physical facilities and grounds are beautiful. The cottages and apartments are spacious and very nice. The staff is caring and, within the constraints of not enough staff, most are very helpful and dedicated to doing a good job. In my opinion, the food is very bad. In my experience, the quality of the housekeeping is very bad.

PositiveI came to Marsh’s Edge the first day of July 2013. There were two things that factored heavily in my decision. First and most importantly, I was able to be close to my daughter and son-in-law who are retired on Sea Island (an adjacent coastal island). The second reason was that my daughter and her husband wanted me to be closer if anything should happen and I needed further assistance. I had been living in Kentucky at the time. In retrospect I could not have made a better decision. After looking at several communit…
