On the whole, certain aids/ nurses showed empathy; when I was there. My mom was angry she was there, but then it crossed a line of norm and a nurse and I noticed looked like a UTI. The nurse, who was with her on a daily basis, put in a request to the "doctor" who said was not necessary. Fast forward, UTI progressed, went to hospital, lost her!

Our experience with Mary, Queen and Mother Center was fairly good. My brother had some complaints, but he had some things he liked. Some of the people were very friendly and seemed to like him and went out of their way to help him. He said it was understaffed, which happens a lot right now. He said they wanted him to wait till they came to help him use the bathroom, but then they took a long time to come and scolded him when he couldn't hold it long enough. The head nurse in the section he was in (the rehab se…

Parent was there for a total of 3 months. The worst ever. Staff for the most part doesn’t care. They sit isolated and no one really interacts with them. The care is horrible and the attitude of the administrator on down is one of not caring as they are getting your money. They should have a negative rating with the exception of the few kind staff. Do not put your loved one here.

The message when you call mentions compassion, and the blurb on the website says "Mary Queen and Mother Center recognizes the importance of communication. Family members are encouraged to participate as care partners in identifying the needs of their loved ones. " What they don't tell you is if you don't participate (which is difficult with Covid restrictions), your loved one is treated like a piece of meat. The staff needs to be refreshed on the compassion and caring part, staff barely interact…

If someone doesn't want to take care of old people, then don't get a job taking care of old people. Being a nurses aide means taking care of someone else. It is your job. If that's not what you want to do, I get it...it's not for everyone, myself included. Don't be rude to my mother. Don't let her sit in pain unnecessarily or wait too long to go to the bathroom or get other required care because you're playing on your phone or socializing with your coworkers. Being busy with other…

The private rooms are about the size of a box. There are a few aides that are helpful but there are just as many that are rude and not very compassionate. Many treat the residents as if they are a bother. Really? They live there and are paying to be there. They should all be treated with the utmost of respect. Not so. The residents don’t enjoy much of anything. There are really no amenities to speak of. Do not put your loved ones in this place.
