PositiveI just spent over a month at Marywood as a patient and the staff was wonderful to me. I couldn't ask for better! The food was very good which was a nice surprise and they had fun activities every day. The staff that ran the activities was great! They were fun to be around! The PT and OT were great too. They were kind and compassionate but made sure we completed our daily tasks. If I need inhouse PT again, this is where I would want to be. I was nicknamed Puzzle Lady because they have a lounge full of jigsaw pu…

CriticalThis place is horrible,If your loved one is going to need special care then do not come here. They take hours to answer a call light. My Mother was left in a soiled diaper for 12 hours a day which caused urinary track infections, one after the other. My Mother had a horrible rash on her bottom,She had bed sores. The food is nasty,The aids are rude and The director of nursing has no bussiness being in that field of work,Run ,don't walk from this place.

CriticalRooms are clean as well as the facility overall. Staff was friendly to family and decent toward my mom except for evening/night care was very poor. She fell and hit her head because no assistance. Lack of staff and very poor communication with family!!
★★★★★
CriticalThey do not answer call lights for long periods. Would find fanpmily member sitting in wet clothes despite finding the assist light on. The staffing is limited and the nurses under staffed. Very unhappy employees . The food is horrible too. I can’t believe anyone would leave family members to be subject to being ignored by staff. There are no activities. People are warehoused here.
★★★★★
CriticalI would be on high alert with my loved one at any facility after our experience at Marywood. My mom was allowed to use the restroom without help four days after hip replacement. The aide watched her fall to the floor. On another day, my mother was in extreme pain and called the nurse’s station and no one came to check on her. My mother had to call my brother and HE called the nurse’s station! When they finally checked on her, she was rushed to St. Mary’s and ended up being diagnosed with bleeding ulcers.

PositiveMy father is in Marywood Nursing Care Center. His room is very clean, well kept, and smells very good. The residents are on a higher level of care. He is in a laid back chair, and he can't move his legs or his arms. The staff is wonderful. They're great and we don't have any complaints at all with their responsiveness or with our wishes that we want things done for him. The food is very good. They puree food for him and it's very good. The food is excellent. They have a therapy room and a family…
