CriticalThe food is generally awful. Meds are not given on time. Bath twice a week, if they have time. One nurse if that on duty. Now the nurse has turned up with Covid. The place is a nightmare. My husband was sent there for rehabilitation from Sutter Hospital. The only good thing is the once a day visit from the Physical Therapist. The rooms are small and the only staff I saw were a few very overweight women in pink uniforms hanging around the hall. It did appear to be clean. My husband said it is like a prison. He was d…

CriticalThis place is a nightmare! The rooms are extremely small with 2-per room and my mother had a crazy roommate that kept the television on all day/night at extremely high decibels that preventing us from being able to communicate with her over the phone. The rooms are dingy, outdated, and smell really bad. The staff is friendly in your face, however, extremely rude and dismissive to the patients! They take 45 min- 1 hour to respond to a call light that patients push to get assistance with using the restroom. My mother…

CriticalI was there for 1 1/2 hours and felt like I needed my ‘Get Out Of Jail Free’ card. Went home without any meds and will Kaiser this a.m. I would never put a family member there and me with 4 fractures in my pelvis couldn’t get out of there fast enough! The smell was putrid and the staff’s attitude was just as bad!
★★★★★
CriticalBlack mold/mildew in showers. I layed in my own urine 3 days before finally getting a shower only two times a week allowed. Milk smelled like a dog from outside (one of the nurses smelled that way also). You will feel like you are disturbing the workers at night when you ring buzzer for help!

CriticalMcKinley Park Care Center is a nightmare. Please, please visit this facility prior to placing your family member and do not acquiesce to pressure from hospital discharge planners. McKinley's website brings new meaning to the phrase "bait and switch". Their website promises a dated, by clean facility with a healthcare professional (Dr, NP or PA) on staff 5 days a week and most weekends. They also promise a an excellent nursing and physical therapy staff, as well as activities for patients during the d…

PositiveMy cousin is a resident of McKinley Park. A lot of the rooms are facing a patio so they can go outside if they are able. The place is clean, people seem friendly, and they have a lot of staff. She also likes the food there, which is good.
