PositiveThis is a great place. My dad was here getting therapy. His gait has improved so much. We have no complaints. I would recommend this place to any of my family or friends. Everyone made us feel so welcome.

CriticalThe doctors only makes rounds once a week and nursing staff seems to be unexperianced and if you have a loved one don't let them go to Medical Park West. They have a new Director and a new Director of Nursing I believe they are trying to make changes for the better. My mother was overmedicated to the point of not being able to complete a sentence and couldn't stay awake for 3 minutes without going back to sleep. Staff very slow to respond to call button and very seldom return phone calls to loved ones inquiring abo…

PositiveThe current team in place is working to make each client's/family's experience to be an especially personalized, positive, and connected one. From the moment that we received a call from [name removed] in Med Park West's (MPW) referral department, I felt hopeful. He was kind, timely, and happily responsive when I called him back a few days later to confirm we wanted to admit my mother for physical therapy services. [name removed] was quick to coordinate and confirm that they could accept my mother within the next f…

PositiveWe liked the facility when we came to look. The first thing one notices is that there is no foul odor often associated with a place of this type. We were also afraid of the Coronavirus which has been known to infect the population of homes of this type. Here they have a special hall for patients that have the virus, and they test patients when they come in and at various times through their stay.... we felt our family member would be safe at Medical Park West. The food was good and not bland or uninteresting. Our f…

CriticalPoor respiratory care, breathing treatments administrated by unqualified people. Poor medication confirmation {did she take them?} Poor response to "help" button, did not check to see if sheets were wet and needed changing each time they came in. Not even a Sponge Bath, and she was there almost a week. Floors in the room were NEVER moped all week. My feet stuck to the floor! She caught Covid there and was dismissed to ICU at Mercy. Very few sanitation precautions. Poor communication with P.A. and with Doctor. I nev…

CriticalMy father has been in Medical Park West Rehabilitation for 10 days now. Care is good to very good. The place seems bright and clean and meal preparation seems more than adequate. The rooms are a good size. I haven't had very much interaction with the staff; that would be more something that my sister could speak to. I haven't had any negative interaction with them, though. They had dining areas, physical therapy areas, and an outdoor courtyard. He's in physical and occupational therapy. They may be a…
