I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

This rehab facility appears to only care about milking a patient’s Medicaire and not about the long term effects on the patient. The rudest and most uncaring social worker was our main point of contact for planning. She encouraged us to tell a facility they wanted my mother transferred to an untruth so she could get her out of The Memphis Jewish Home after using essentially all of my mother’s full paid rehab days.

My husband moved to Memphis Jewish Home & Rehab. I chose it for him because I guess I heard a lot of good things about a lot of people talking about it. They were always short of help, but that's everywhere you go. They have bingo and poker. They have a courtyard and a library. They have a small deli inside. They have a salon. They cut your hair and wash your hair and all that stuff. They also wash the clothes for free.

My father is currently at Memphis Jewish Home & Rehab. He was there for the rehab portion of it, and his coverage is coming to an end, they don't have a bed available in their long-term care, so we are on the waiting list there. He has been there for seven weeks. We loved it. We have a really deep connection with a lot of the staff members that are there. They are not just focused on his physical therapy aspect, but on making sure that he is healthy overall. They've also been paying attention to his m…

I am/was a resident of this facility

I am at Memphis Jewish Home & Rehab for rehab. It's attractive on the outside, and the inside looks like a very pleasant rehab facility. The staff is good, but I think they're understaffed. So it takes a long time to get anybody to come to your room, and that's something I don't enjoy. I was told early on that I might not be able to stay, so that kind of sent me into a frenzy. I think there would be better ways to say that to a person who has only been here for three or four days. Overall, i…

My mom was at Memphis Jewish Home & Rehab. The rehab facility is good. We're pleased with them. It's well-staffed, and a lot of new facilities there are for the rehab, so we've been pleased with it. They're well-staffed with good people and they have good facilities. The food seemed good, but I didn't taste any of them. It's clean, well-equipped, and they have modern facilities. The rehab, at least with regard to my mother, is fully paid for by Medicare, so we're pleased with …

If you are looking for long term care, avoid this facility at all costs. It looks nice on the inside, but it stops there. The nursing staff is the worst I have ever seen. The Administrator and other management does not care. They are callous and lack any compassion for their patients. I was shocked at the treatment i witnessed. Reconsider if you are thinking about putting your loved one here. It is a horrible place.
