I will move into Mera Goodyear. What I liked best, number one, was the locality. It's within five miles of where I currently live. So, I'm very familiar with the whole area, shopping centers, and restaurants. The personnel are great. The room I'm getting is nice. My apartment will be right in front of the pickleball or tennis court and the pool. On Wednesdays, they have a crochet group, where I crochet and knit. They had a hamburger and dessert night. Mera Goodyear is going to be close to where, at that time, I thought I was going to be working, and that worked out perfectly. It's relatively brand new. It's a nice place and I can afford their one bedroom. It seemed like a good place to be. They have a library, a fitness center, and a pool. They offer lots of activities such as exercise classes, pickleball, arts and crafts classes, and social hours. The staff was good. The facility was perfect. It looked beautiful.

I am/was a resident of this facility

They are renting apartments over $400 less than when the original residents moved in! This is disgraceful and should not be allowed! Some of the residents are paying about $800 more than new residents and to me seems very unfair! Has this company ever heard of Resident Retention? Apparently not which is why they will ALWAYS have a revolving door. I'm out after 2.5 years!!!

I've visited Mera Goodyear, it's a nice community. It's brand new, they have everything that you could ever need there. They even have a golf simulator, it just seemed like the community was very well taken care of. Everybody there was happy and all the residents there that I spoke to was extremely happy. We are choosing Mera Goodyear independent living for my mom. It just seems like a really good fit for active adults that are looking for more of a feel of a community, but yet still being able to live independently. Kelly at the facility, who did the tour, was awesome. We looked at a couple of different layouts and we went with one that was a little bit different.
