Merrill Gardens at Burien

Caring staff, short staffed and remaining staff would pitch in where they could, friendly and helpful staff.

Our family had an in person tour and it was not a bad experience it was really good, we just felt at the end of the day it was not the place for our loved one.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a good overall tour experience but location was very important to us so ultimately this community was not going to be suitable for our loved one.

We toured with Merrill Gardens at Burien and found the facility to feel very institutional. When we walked in we got the strong odor or disinfectant and alcohol. The people were all very nice but it was not going to be a good fit.

I went to look at Merrill Gardens at Burien. They were nice, not as warm, but they were polite. The facilities were nice and clean. The outdoor was nice. You're not surrounded by trees, and I'm a big tree person, but they were nice and well-kept. The people seemed to be more active. My dad was having a hard time walking down the hallway. For every one step the resident made, he made about 20 trying to get down the hallway. It seemed like a more active environment, then that would be good for him. These pe…

I am on a waiting list for Merrill Gardens at Burien. The main thing I chose this place was because it's close to my daughter. It has an indoor swimming pool just across the street that I can walk to and a reasonable percentage of independent residents. The person who gave the tour was very nice too. The apartments shown to me were good. They have all kinds of rooms, from studios to bedrooms and it had a very pleasant atmosphere. They had lots of activities like arts and crafts, exercises, and more.
