When I entered the community of Merrill Gardens Hillsboro, I immediately felt at home. I was warmly greeted by [name removed] at the Front Desk and [name removed] , who would tour me around the facility. It was then, and continues to be, a nurturing and friendly atmosphere, and every staff member is outstanding. This is my “forever” home.

PositiveMerrill Gardens is a very nice facility. The public spaces were clean and residents seemed happy. The ability to go down to the dining area and order food on the resident's schedule (7am-7pm) is wonderful! And, when the time comes that mom needs more care, it will be there. She doens't have to change rooms as care needs increase.

PositiveWhile the facility is very impressive, for me it is too corporate, lacks warmth and seems to focus on externals. It feels like a resort or perhaps a cruise ship! Not for me.

My sister and I visited on several occasions. Each time, [name removed] greeted us with a smile and was always willing to sit down and answer our questions. Also, each time we visited, the residents also stopped us to chat. The facility is like walking into a nice hotel. After touring several other facilities, I always came back to Merrill Gardens for their nice and welcoming common areas, staff, and residents. Also, Merrill Gardens pricing was always little lower than other facilities which was great too!
