CriticalNew owner #3 does unnecessary stuff that is detrimental and doesn’t do required changing of one pain windows
Most of the residents are really helpful, but the administration doesn’t listen to residence desires. The activities are mostly online and often times no staff is there to monitor the activities. Two people have fallen when they tryed to get up and reach for the balloon in volleyball One broke her hip and is in hospital. Food is mostly canned and meat patties are frozen. Not healthy

After touring several communities I chose MerryWood for my sister. After two months we couldn’t be more satisfied. The buildings are clean, bright, and the apartment floor plans are great. The amenities are plentiful: a dining hall which serves three meals daily and a variety of activities and outings available throughout the day every day. The most outstanding thing about MerryWood is how very friendly and helpful everyone is, staff and residents.

The facility is very clean. The dining room staff are excellent. I have had a few meals there and the food and service are great. Restaurant style with a large selection fir each meal. They have 3 meals a day and a happy hour Mon to Fri with a two drink maximum. The chef is willing to work with the residents regarding specific choices they would like. CriticalA Place for Moms made an appointment for us, however, it did not seem like they were aware of the appointment. We were not thrilled with their 2-bedroom layouts. Closet space at a minimum. Activity centers were on different floors instead of being in one place.

I would give Merrywood 3 stars. The dinning room staff is so kind. They are understaffed so a meal takes about 1 1/2 hours. Sometimes not even order takes for 45 minutes. Not bad when sitting with friends. The activities are mostly online in auditorium in W building. A long walk. Then depending on staff they don't start on time. The great activities are yoga and Tai Chi both with experienced practitioners The worst is the Care Giving Staff. They run in drop off meals and run out. Forget to take garbage out. …

I have lived at MerryWood since [date removed]. The activities are wonderful. I just came from a wonderful session where we were drumming and what I’ve liked about that is all of us are different. We have different skills, but somehow we all came together to drum together and make music. tai chi and yoga are two of the my favorite things.
