The layout of Mountain Plaza Assisted Living was beautiful. I liked the general atmosphere. It was very open and very welcoming. All the staff members were wonderful. They approached me to help in any way they could. They gave me a tour of the facility, both the assisted care area and the memory care area. Victoria was one of the ladies who gave me a personal tour. They have beautiful dining facilities for the residents and beautiful private apartments as well. Kitchen management could use a major overhaul. Kitchen supervisor is hardly ever available, the food portions are at a bare minimum. Would love to see RMA hire people that actually know how to cook. The dining room is a zoo at mealtimes, it's obvious there is no set routine. They claim to let employees have a free meal, however some of the cooks take home massive amounts of food then tell employees there wasn't enough left...Under cooked food is served on a daily basis because the stove doesn't work properly. Mountain Plaza Assisted Living is excellent, and they've been very, very helpful. It's a very friendly facility that's well-run. The food is excellent. They have bingo, darts, singalongs, and exercises. They have book readings. They have various singing groups come in and sing with you. They have outings. They have something every day from 8:30 to 5:00. My husband's apartment is very nice and very well-maintained.

Outstanding and caring place with great people, great food and a great team. Clean, well maintained. I had my parents there for 6 weeks while we were in transit trying to figure out medical needs. It was an extremely stressful time that my family and I would never have survived without the help of this establishment. Rooms big, bathroom big, court yard and hallways wide and comforting. Lots of local musical entertainment. Thank you!! It’s been 1 year since we lived there but you all were so helpful.

Poor Management

The residents are not heard when they voice concerns, but given platitudes and not solutions., The food is terrible and the Administrator runs a very poor business. The residents and nursing staff, especially the CNA's, are what keep the place running and are under appreciated. They no longer have the wonderful activities they once had unfortunately losing their best asset.

From the moment we moved mom here, the entire process was easy and we felt very welcomed. Mom's mental and physical abilities have improved greatly since moving in. She loved the activities and food. Thank you to the whole staff!
