I visited Mountain Terrace Senior Living. They weren't aware that I was coming for a visit. The administrator wasn't on-site. The second piece that was probably most alarming to me and only because senior living and daycare facilities that are licensed must have state inspections done, and they must keep the state inspections in a book for people to look at. They had a book, but it had no pages in it of any inspections, and to me, that was a huge red flag because that's a very big thing. I found the …

Would not recommend.

Long story short. She went to Mt Terrace on [date removed]. She fell a couple times while there. Last time she fell was [date removed]. She was supposed to be on a 2-3 hour check and they found her on the floor 12 hours after she fell. 2 weeks later I called ambulance and she went to hospital where she stayed until [date removed] Never went back to Mt. Terrace after that. She went to a different facility for 30 days then has been living with me ever since

We moved my mom out of Mount View Lack of security, front door is always open. Anyone can walk in day or night,only one person on staff at night often. That employee could be upstairs helping a resident and anyone could walk in there and no one would know..Mount View went through three Director's while my mother was there. I know she is safe & fed. No one ever seems to yell. Food is bland according to mom. There is serious lack of communication if we need someone/they don't follow through on things asked such as several days notice of dr. Appt and request to be sure mom showers before. She has always supposed to have a shower twice weekly bit even 1x/week has been hard to get. Laundry is often not done. My dad was at Mountain Terrace Senior Living. I tried their meals, and for dinner, I thought that the presentation was acceptable and tasteful. The room was nicer than the other place. It's a nice size, and it has everything that my dad needed there. It had an attached half bath, which was nice. It was certainly spacious. It had enough room for him. First, the staff never seem to be mean to staff or inconsiderate or condescending. They seem to treat them with respect. We have had challenges with over charging mom, not being easy to talk with anyone related to billing - lots of passing the buck. Getting her laundry done is very difficult. Like it doesn't get done. Initially we think mom was telling them her daughter would do so so maybe the misunderstood but we were only taking it b/c they did not for over 2 weeks.
