We have a family member here and visit them weekly. We have never been disappointed. The facility is always neat and clean, spacious for strolling the halls and has a wonderful enclosed courtyard. The staff -the director, housekeeping, healthcare, dining hall, and office- are all kind and welcoming. Everyone we have encountered has been willing to step up to whatever task is needed. They were very helpful in getting through the process and they helped in a very stressful situation. The staff seem to be able to multitask. Always friendly, always offering to help. Medication is distributed by med techs. From changing your sheets to reminding you when it's time to eat. It is structured to make sure everything is done for each and every tenant. For instance, if you need help bathing, they schedule you two days a week to make sure someone is available to help. Food has been fine. Nothing too fan…

In general, we're happy with Navion. If I was talking to another family about moving their loved one there, I would say: (1) The biggest negative is the food. It's truly bad and it doesn't seem like they have much room -- budget or kitchen space -- to make it better. I'm supplementing my mom with Heathy Choice microwave meals, fresh fruit and salads. The entire staff is so friendly and they genuinely SEE the residents. I've noticed when visiting, not just how they treat my Dad but everyone. When touring other facilities, it sometimes seemed performative but I witness it on a day-to-day basis. . I am so grateful to a Place for Mom for helping me find this sanctuary for my Dad who is deserving of only good things.

My father will move to Navion of New Bern. My Daddy has first-stage dementia, and they have an outside garden where he can go in and out and not be locked up like an animal. That is my main thing, and the place is spotlessly clean, spacious, just very welcoming, and not dreary and dark. The staff has just been more than helpful and right on top of it, and they were very attentive.
