CriticalMy review of Oak Lane
Before Covid I really liked this community. Now the new people that have taken over don't make me as happy. They are a little less caring and pushy on certain stuff. A lot of new people to get used to now.

CriticalI'm trying to get my uncle to get into Oak Lane Retirement Community. I've done a tour of the place already and I liked the fact that they've got big open rooms for groups to get together and plenty of nurses on staff 24/7 in case someone needs it. The staff was great but the building was old. They're doing some maintenance on it now and brightening it up, but it's not a bad building. It's very large and accommodating.

PositiveI would highly recommend this community for your loved one. This was one of the most reasonable. My loved one raved about the food, and enjoyed being here. I believe this is a family owned community.

PositiveOur Mom lives at Oak Lane and loves it. All the employees are great, caring, helpful and just all around great. She is very well cared for. The facility is well taken care of. Highly recommend to anyone needing to place someone they love.

PositiveI love the feeling of community at Oak Lane. It has been a very good experience for me and for my loved one so far. The personnel are very helpful and very attentive to my loved one's needs, and the spirit of the community is very comforting. I like that the residents are kept very busy with the activities they offer. The food here is fine, but my loved one does wish they offered more fresh vegetables at mealtimes. Oak Lane is also an older facility, so they could use a good update, but they still do a nice job kee…

CriticalMy father-in-law was here for about 3 weeks and there is room for improvement. He was on the independant living side. We felt he was safer to be there than at home. The food was OK he was at the point where he wasn't eating and just had them bring him the food and there was an extra charge for that to happen. The day he passed my daughter was there and she pulled the cord for help and no one came so she went looking for help. I would recommend this place to friends or family.
