PositiveI picked this place for my mom because it doesn't feel or look like a hospital as many places do. My mom stayed there twice when I had to travel for work so I knew she liked it. The people are great. I feel she is really getting the care she needs.

PositiveMy aunt is in Olsen Rest Home. She's only been there a short time, but she seems to like it a lot, and she seems fine. I call her on the phone. She loves the food. She thinks it's wonderful. She says everybody's very nice, and she seems to like them. The ones I've interacted with are excellent, very nice, very caring, and good. It's near my house, it's much smaller, and I think that's what she needs.

CriticalI like Olsen Rest Home. It's a small home. The activity room was small, and they didn't seem to have a lot of activities there. It seemed like they were very interested in giving quality care rather than anything else. They were doing word search at the time in the activity room. They had nice comfy chairs all around and that was the same room that they would watch television in. It was very clean, and the staff was very good. The dining area was small as well.

Criticalhad to take Mom out as she was overmedicated and "Stoned" every time during visits. She was reprimanded by staff and received little attention by staff. She was so stoned she couldn't even feed herself. Got her out of there as quickly as possible. Old and rooms and furniture and lacksadaisical staff. Stay away

PositiveOlsen Rest Home is kind of like 5 bungalow houses which they attached them through hallways, and it just makes you feel that you are in a home and not in a hospital. It is small and only has about 38 residents. They have 2 living rooms -- one on each side of house -- and they have about 40 high back chairs, so even if the other people from the other side come over, they always have enough room for everybody to sit.
