Osprey Manor Fairway

I thought the rooms were nice, but there was a big question about what I read that they were doing as far as remodeling versus what they are actually doing. The parking lot was full of potholes. The rooms were redone and nice, but the hallways looked dated. The menu looked good, but I didn’t get a chance to test the food. And I really didn’t see very many people, but we did tour in mid afternoon so maybe people were napping. Also there one bedrooms did not have a full-size refrigerator and very little counter space…

My mother-in-law is going here. The tour went wonderfully. I toured it myself several weeks ago with the intake specialist. The place was just bright, cheery, and clean. They have all kinds of activities there. They have a huge library and an ice cream shop. It's well above anything that we looked at. They also have several common coffee areas where you can have coffee or read a book or whatever. They have a game room, a crafts room, a physical therapy room, and a beautiful courtyard. I have called to speak to my friend & was told no visitors. Asked msg to be given to her to call me. I have waited a week & am now told she is in Rehab section of this AL. I asked for phone # there. Person who answered had no idea of #. No idea of location. Then, finally admitted she is at Rehab in another town but he had no info of how I could contact that facility. Why such secrecy? Why such incompetency? Why can’t I talk to my friend?

We toured. They have a better kitchen facility, which would be very important for my brother-in-law. He's ambulatory and self-care, so that was the main thing. They also had a nice screened in porch area where they can sit, and they love to do that. The staff was very informative. She helped to convince. We had a good impression of her, but it was the room itself that will suit my sister and brother-in-law. My sister will need assisted living. She's incontinent and can use a walker, but she is pretty much…
