My father moved to the independent living community of Overture Rancho Santa Margarita 55+ Apartment Homes. It's a very modern, convenient, 55-plus community with terrific privacy and good staff and management. They have a lot of interesting amenities for a 55-plus community. It's wonderful. It's a two- or three-story apartment building. It's not assisted living, so it doesn't include meals, but that's all outside. It also does not include caregiving, so we have private caregivers now.…

A great place for a senior to transition to dependence on care

I’m disappointed in the laxity of Overture to accept or retain seniors who are less than independent. I had a quick tour and only encountered 3 other residents because it was during Christmas holidays when most were out for the holidays. One of those I met was in pajamas. I gave her the benefit of doubt. As residents returned, I saw most of them relying on walkers. Most no longer drive, and their prognosis is non- improvement. a dream place for people that are retired

We have never seen anything but clean at Overture and the staff members are very friendly. They do have a calendar with different types of meals and activities for different holidays and celebrations. It is location right across the street from a park and public library. It is also close to a bunch of shopping malls and grocery stores. It is just a wonderful place.

Overture is a great place for an independent senior.

I love it here. I've had a wonderful experience so far. The staff have been very helpful in getting me settled. And they've resolved any minor issues I've had. It's been wonderful. We have our own kitchens in our apartments, so meals are not provided. But they have a lot of activities, and I have met a lot people. I do AquaFit, an exercise class, line dancing, and they have movies almost every Monday afternoon. I've met some people that I play cards with and Mexican Train Dominoes with. We lived in Overture Rancho Santa Margarita 55+ Apartment Homes since 2015. The management for the past two years has been very bad. The manager has moved to another location and someone is going to be coming in eventually, which I think is a breach of the terms because they are not telling the residents who's coming in and what's their name is. Best for price and amenities I feel. I think she could do another 4-5 years without assisted care and she would enjoy the amenities this provides with the lower price point until she absolutely has to be assisted
