Quality Memory Care for My Friend

I am a long time friend and the guardian for [name removed], whose home was at Memory Care at Park Vista Port Orchard, WA his last few months. Previous AL and memory care facilities either struggled to meet his needs or were so costly, I was concerned about his long term finances. Wonderful place.

Everything was a 5 except for the activities, She was unable to do activities. The staff was great and the food was wonderful. The rooms nice and the whole atmosphere is light and airy. Residents were sweet as well. It's a bit pricey, but worth it.

The staff seems great and my mom seems to like them. There are a ton of activities for her. Food is ok, she has to eat gluten free so that can be a challenge some days. She has a studio which good sized. I don't think she has been happier. She's made friends and participates in activities which she never did living with us.

It's fine if they can take care of themselves, but not if they need constant attention. Staff was very nice. Supervisors though had a high turnover and didn't last long or have anything good to say about their supervisors. Apartments were normal. Nobody seemed to go outside much.
