PositiveThe room has needed a new vanity in the bathroom and a toilet paper roll for month. Still has not been replaced. The staff does an amazing job with mom. The maintenance of the facility just needs to follow up more quickly.

PositiveI toured the assisted living facility of Parkside North East, and the community is absolutely beautiful. The person we met for the tour was very accommodating and very knowledgeable. He showed us everything and provided us with his number, so that if we had any questions, we could contact him. PositiveI was reasonably impressed with Parkside North East. I liked it. It was a pretty nice place. They answered all the questions, they spelled out the financial obligations, and they gave us a form to fill out should we want to put our name on a waiting list, which I haven't done yet. The features of the rooms are not plush, but adequate. The dining area was exceptionally clean and very nice looking. They do very well with the upkeep. PositiveMy father is a resident and has been for 11 months so far. I am very pleased with the care and patience they have shown as my father’s mental health declines from Dementia. He is still living in a private suite and can be messy, yet his floors, sheets, etc are always clean and tidy. There is room in his suite for 5 bookcases to keep his memories close and the surroundings familiar to him.

PositiveI checked several places on my own and was frustrated. A Place for Mom made it easier. At North East Parkside the room at Parkside was good sized for a two person room with the bathroom between each person's space. The food has been good, and you can walk around the dining space to get your exercise and an outside patio to get some fresh air. PositiveStaff was great. My problem was my they require a deposit of $[removed]. My uncle was there only 5 days before he had to leave. We asked for a portion of the deposit back. They told us it was not refundable. It was not a deposit on the apartment. It was a fee for the facility to upgrade and maintain itself. Those 5 days cost the $[removed]deposit and $[removed]for his 5 days of rent.
