CriticalThe facility was horribly understaffed. My mother was there for rehab after surgery with an open wound. She was there barely a week before she went sepsic and was re-hospitalized. We refused hospitals attempts to send her back.

PositiveI spent several days at Plaza West Healthcare and Rehab Center last year. It was in the rehab and therapy wing, and they did a good job. The rooms, maintenance, and housekeeping were fine, and the food was good. The staff was also excellent, from the head nurse down to the aides. They were all very accommodating and very friendly. They were just short-staffed on aides. They also kept my current medication and took care of it anytime a change was needed. I stayed in one of the larger private rooms, and it was great.…

PositiveMy mother in law needed rehab and they were wonderful and patient with her. They got her to work hard and improve enough to go home. My Grandmother in law stayed there for 8 years and they were wonderful!

PositiveMy wife has been in Plaza West Regional Heath Center for about a year and a half now. They keep having a change of staff, but they have gotten some young age on that ward where my wife is that is very, very good with them, and that's what I like. Meals are included. Everything is included over there. However, one of the problems we complained about is that the meals are not prepared very well. They have quite a few programs in there. In the memory care part there, they don't have a lot, but the rest of th…

CriticalDon't put any of your loved ones in there. The rooms are filthy, foods raw, old and nasty. You don't get showers unless your family members complain. They lie to you constantly and shift the blame elsewhere And if you use your call button regularly they make you wait. Some aides act like your bothering them when you call for help. They do have one fantastic aide Kelli shes great and she's the only one who cares in the whole place. The care the seniors/rehab patients get is absolutely horrible

PositiveJust spent about 15 days in Plaza West as a patient. Checked in looking to get some help and I sure received it in spades. Compared to food at St. Francis hospital it was way better and they easily accommodated any specific culinary requests. Virtually all of the staff were amiable, easy to talk to, and took their time to listen to what I had to say and could engage with a sense of humor which I find so important. Plus amongst the staff I discovered some truly professional and dedicated individuals who have found t…
