I toured Poplar Estates Senior Living Community. They're the best that I found. The staff was excellent. They're personable and very knowledgeable, and they take care of the people with an excellent passion. They've got outdoor spaces. They've got a central courtyard.

This is a top notch facility. My father has been there for about a year now. I now have personal relationships with the staff as they treat us all like their family. I am impressed with the time they take to understand each resident and find out their interests. My Dad likes NFL 24/7 and they make sure his tv is on and volume is to his liking. My aunt will move into Poplar Estates after Christmas. We chose this facility because they do the aging in place and when you spend half of your own money, they can switch to Medicare. They also have a memory care unit in it. It's within reason as far as distance for us. My aunt got a 1-bedroom apartment. The staff is very kind. They're like a family. We placed my mom in Poplar Estates, and they were great. We picked this place because it's all-inclusive in terms of the help that she's going to need. The rooms are just right for my mom and includes a little kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, a living room, and a separate bedroom. It was just one big room with everything in, like a little apartment. I have eaten with my mom several times, and the food is good. Everybody is extremely friendly. It was okay. I can't really say anything bad about it. The only reason I didn't like it was because the location wasn't convenient for us. Other than that it was nice.
