PositiveContent: My husband and I moved here 3 years ago. We were first drawn to the gorgeous landscaping (ponds, trees, flowering bushes,) 3 miles of walking opportunities, diverse housing options (which makes it look like a village, not a campus). The staff are caring, friendly, helpful and just nice, likable people who want to serve and help us in any way they can. We have met so many interesting, friendly, and helpful people who are now our friends and neighbors. No one should be bored here - there are activities that …

PositiveThe dining facility and food experience is exceptional at Porters Neck Village. You get spoiled immediately by the continuing care that is taken to presenting wonderful meals.

PositiveMom was at Porters Neck Village before. It was a larger campus and they had a variety of living accommodations. They have quads, duplexes, and apartment homes. So, they have a larger variety of what you might need depending on the stage you are in life. It also has a much larger campus with walking trails and a pond. It's an extremely nice facility. It's been there close to 30 years and they are constantly doing improvements, upgrading, and remodeling. So, it's got a good history of being well-mainta…

PositiveMy experience with the Plantation Village has been above average. My husband and I had an overnight visit before the COVID-19 Pandemic. We were treated so well by the Plantation Village staff. A resident couple that we met were so very kind to us. They joined us for a dinner meal that evening. Both of them were so kind to answer our many questions. Each one seemed to want to fully explain the answer so that we could apply it to Plantation Village. The answers seemed to be their honest opinion. After an enjoyable …

PositiveMom was a resident for over 5 years - while reluctant at first as we had just lost my dad - she was welcomed and was able to participate in many activities, events and groups. She created new friendships and continued her passions of painting, bridge and knitting. And a cocktail or two. She was loved by the staff and she loved them. When she needed assistance PV Home Care was there for her - and took great care of her. I know she would have loved the new offerings that the current and future construction projects wi…
★★★★★
PositiveIt was a great facility, but there's a large entrance fee. It has a very large campus, so it's got a lot of walking paths, and a lot of activities. It's got an auditorium where they do shows and they have a choir. It's more of a community than just a facility. They also have an indoor heated pool for water exercises. The one negative, besides the large entrance fee, was that the buildings that will have the apartments are old enough that they're on a schedule to be taken down within five to…
