We are in Prairie Bluffs Senior Living. We like it here very, very much. I'm familiar with this area, and I wanted to be in this area, and we were looking for a place that's not quite as large as a lot of them in this area are, and this one has a smaller independent living wing. We like it because we socialize and get to know the people here, and get some wonderful friendships going. It's a newer building. We chose Prairie Bluffs for my mother. It's a beautiful facility, and they have a lot of programs that she could be participating in, and they're going to get the wheelchair to take her down to all her meals because she's 100 years old and she can't walk that much. They're very willing to adjust to everything we need. It's immaculately clean and well-designed. It's a newer building and it's a good-sized place. In the time our loved ones have been there we have found that they have a hard time organizing and delivering medications on time, they tell you they can provide services only to find out they didn’t, they have a hard time communication with their own staff on how things should be done, and their respond time when the resident pushes their button is awful. The facility is good looking. They are woefully understaffed and the people who are here don't know what they're doing. We are shocked by the amount out loved one pays and the degree of negligence in the care. It is shocking. Our experience is in assisted living.

Scary level of med negligence

My loved one is in assisted living. He pays [Price Removed] a month and they cannot get him his meds. Period. They can't do it. The aides say the meds aren't there - that it's the nurse's job - but the nurse isn't here. There is no hotline, no one is available after hours, there is virtually no help. It's a crazy, scary atmosphere in a beautiful building.
