PositiveI enjoy living at Regency at Westland. The staff is nice and I like playing bingo in activities, they have a lot of activities/events to choose from and the food here is good.

PositiveOur dad was in Regency for just under 4 weeks. He had been discharged from the hospital to Regency. He had been in PT etc at St. Mary's, but the program was too much for him, so it was rather a quick transition. We didn't really have time to be picky. When we arrived, they got him directly to his room which was clean and light! Dad was pretty out of it, but cooperated as much as he could. In the next few days, we got to know the staff and were thrilled with everyone. The nurses who worked with Dad were ve…

CriticalFirst, the facility is beautiful and the individual rooms are beautiful. The food is fairly decent too. The physical therapy is very good. However, My dad has currently been there 3 weeks and has had only 1 actual shower, we've mentioned it at least twice to no avail. The night shift is hit or miss. Some aides would rather not help him hold the urinal, they say they dont that, YET IM TOLD IT’S PART OF THIR JOB. They would prefer to have him go in his brief and have to change him, I'm not sure this is the …

PositiveMy father is in Regency at Westland. It's nice on the inside. It looks like a hotel. He's not sharing it with anybody, so he has a pretty big room. It looks pretty clean to me. I haven't really met too many of the staff, but they seem pretty good. Their rehabilitation area is huge and it's good. The dining area is just like a typical cafeteria-looking place.

CriticalThe esthetic is the only good thing about this place. New and pretty but I wouldn’t send my enemy here. Made my mother wait in the bathroom for hours, made her feel lazy when she couldn’t lift her legs into bed, yet this is a rehab facility. Multiple times had to call nursing because the wrong amount of meds were disbursed. Only good thing was PT and OT, everyone else just punches a clock and if they don’t want to work with people who need rehab, find another job.

CriticalRooms are private and new clean facilities Rehab pt and ot great Nursing manager did not listen to concerns and oblivious to a patient with antibiotic resistance Overall family communication is lacking staff update conference was unprepared for updates not knowing patient status and progress Discharge was a hot mess and not correct or timely for care plan move to assisted living that was communicated by family so they were not ready nor meds ordered
