PositiveThe staff is GREAT, the care is consistent, the activities don't appeal to my Dad but the outings do. There's a new chef and the food is better but sometimes slower in being served. There's place is very clean and the apartment size is fabulous. Overall a great value for the personal attention, small population size and friendly staff. I wish they had a service where they drove residents to appointments and shopping. There's a reasonable taxi type service available but my Dad isn't sharp enough to have that number …

CriticalOne of the hardest decisions you'll ever make is placing a parent or loved one in memory care. You trust that the care and safety promised will be delivered. When it isn't, the heartbreak and stress are overwhelming. Regency Palms is not the place for any type of care. Before choosing any facility, look at the California Department of Social Services site: [removed] Based on my family's experience, I cannot recommend Regency Palms Memory Care in Oxnard. PositiveThe staff and facility are outstanding. His room is wonderful, and the price is very reasonable for what's provided. My dad isn't naturally community-oriented, but he is gradually adjusting. Those are my overall impressions. The food is good, though my dad sometimes feels the portions aren't enough. I've encouraged him to ask for more, but I don't think he always does. The activities don't always match his interests, aside from the exercise classes, which he enjoys. He occasionally likes the movies and especially…

PositiveRegency palms of Oxnard was absolutely wonderful. They took great care of [name removed]in his last few weeks, alive and made him feel comfortable safe. And welcome in that environment. They were very gracious to me answered every question. I had put up with me, calling them all the time to see how my brother was. I can't think of a better place for the price and regency palms. God bless them

PositiveI think the facility could improve upon the food. My wife and I have only eaten there a couple of times, but mother-in-law frequently makes comments about too much pasta. Otherwise, the staff always seems friendly, cheerful, and helpful, and the residents seem well cared for. I imagine there are better facilities out there, but they are probably way more expensive. We have been very pleased with the services provided for mother-in-law at this facility.

CriticalVersus other communities I've visited and the one my mom is going to now, Regency felt more transactional in nature.
