I am pleased with the care my Dad receives in Memory Care. He’s safe and content which puts my mind at ease. I would caution families looking in to Ridgewood to get a definite quote on monthly costs. I feel very misled from what I was told at admission and what I was billed. My Dad isn’t wealthy and his hard earned money is going to be spent quicker than I anticipated. As a former Social Worker in LTC I look for professionalism, common courtesy and transparency and it’s difficult to respect those in administration …

Be very careful before you choose this place for someone you love. There were countless issues and we finally had to move mom: 1. Fell and laid on the floor in the middle of the night for 45 min before another resident heard her crying. Button was all bloody from being pushed but didn’t work. Sent her to hospital without notifying us and without paperwork. Hospital had her has Jane doe and I had to go looking for her. 2. Stayed with her a few nights when she got back to RW. My mom is a resident at Ridgewood Senior Living. The cook, [name removed], is amazing and goes above and beyond for the residents. The food could be of better quality. The staff that cares for my mom is awesome. In the last couple of weeks it has changed hands, we will have to see what the new company does.

My husband was at Ridgewood Senior Living. He needed to be in deep care, but I would not recommend that to anybody. It was not the people that ran it, but it was the people that were supposed to be taking care of him. My husband needed to be changed, and they can't use lifts there. Therefore, he didn't get changed very often. Sometimes, I think that he only got changed once a day, and I'm not even sure he got that much. Ridgewood Senior Living was fairly new, but it was kind of average. It was not fancy in any way. It was nice for people that aren't looking for posh. The staff who assisted me during the tour was very nice, professional, and helpful. They had a big room with a big screen and they showed movies in there and football games; that's pretty big in Nebraska. They took them shopping and they had an exercise room. My sister is in Ridgewood Senior Living. I like that they've got very friendly staff and fairly new accommodation. They were willing to work with my sister and they were laying new flooring. She has a dog and so they were able to get rid of the carpet in the kitchen, dining room, and living area for her.
