My friend and I used to live in Sable Lodge Retirement Community. The food there was terrific. We had three meals a day in a buffet-style. You would get down and get in the buffet line, which went very quickly, and the food was ample. There were no restrictions. They had a separate salad and soup bar. That was very good. The soup was controlled by thermostatic pots. There were two pots with two different soups every day, at noon and night. If you want something that they didn't have at the serving bar, like a …

I like everything about Sable Lodge Retirement Community. It had only one drawback, it was in a strip mall. It had no grounds and no view. The place was gorgeous though. The dining room was gorgeous. I ate there and the food was wonderful. I met some of the residents and they were very nice. The woman in charge was absolutely wonderful. They had great facilities. I would give a 5 for all except the meals and dining services and that is because of the limited healthy options. However, they have friendly staff, the facility is very clean and well maintained. Just need less pork and more grilled options!
