My husband was at the skilled nursing home of Sacramento Post Acute, which was on Hemlock Street. I like that it's a VA contracted facility, but unfortunately, it's two to four patients per room. Everybody was nice, though. The director of nursing and the nurses were also very nice and accommodating. They were clean. They have different activities too, and they have PT and OT, which I was looking for. It was a nice area. The only problem I have there is that they have so many patients. The facility is als…

My husband was in Sacramento Post-Acute. I was not thrilled with them. The physical therapist and occupational therapist were very good, and the nursing staff was just excellent, but for some reason the whole place was not very well coordinated. The doctor just kind of meandered around, and nobody ever really figured out what was going on with my husband's condition. Sacramento Post-Acute is not what I would consider up with modern technology. Some rooms have phones, and some rooms don’t. In the room that my father is in, there are no telephones. My father didn’t have a cell phone. The only way that he could be contacted is you call the facility itself. If someone is at the nurse’s station, the phone would be answered, they would take a cell phone down to his room, and when he’s done, they take the cell phone away and put it back out at the desk.
